Granted 2:24 (dp & robert morgan fisher)
Written for Robert's first son, Grant.

Look what I found growing in the garden
down on the ground, topsoil partin'
here comes a sprout, innocent and slender
here comes a cloud, raindrops so tender

Saving my seeds for the next harvest
pulling up weeds, like I'm an artist
God's grand design, now I understand it
and I'm resigned to how he planned it

Roots strong grow long
fingertips to the sun
sing a sweet song
The fruits of our labor are won
The fruits of our labor are one

Righting all wrongs, can you feel the power?
Fill up my lungs with fragrant flower
it seems like years since it was planted
now it appears my wish is granted
